Week 8: Pictures

 Helping people move...

 Pork Tenderloin from WF Cody’s
Halloween!

Week 8: A Batism and Lots of Service!

Hello everyone,
This week has been pretty interesting we didn’t do alot of teaching but we did alot of service like a crazy amount!   We ended up moving 5 different  families last week but it was awesome! We also moved a fridge up a flight of stairs that was so tiny... so that was interesting.  We also built a stage that took us around 6 hours as we set up for a community event called the Wild West.  We didn't get to go because we were busy.

We also had my first baptism it was amazing the spirit was super strong there.  We got to set everything up and my comp conducted it.  His name is Brylan and he is nine years old, we were able to teach him all the lessons and everything.  My BOM study is going good I’m in Alma it’s sweet.

We had alot of dinners this week and a member took us to a dive restaurant  called WF Cody's and it had one of the best sandwiches I have ever had!  The sandwich was a pork tenderloin and it was huge! Thank you everyone for the Halloween packages! Over all it was an awesome week.  I love you and miss you guys

Week 6: Pictures

Conference

                                                Route 66 Pictures for mom!

Week 6: James River Church, Route 66 and Conference

Hello everyone,

This week has been pretty interesting  but we have kind of slowed down a little bit we don't go tracking as much because we have such a big teaching pool.  We have been focusing on trying to develop the people that we have already met and are teaching.
We also had some awesome lessons with our investigators and they are really progressing.  We have 4 investigators with dates set up to be baptized.

We got invited to a church down here called James River where a members friend who is investigating the church asked us to come play basketball at an open house.
We went and he just wanted us there so we could go to a service and it was the weirdest service I had ever been to.  They  started out with a prayer and then they gave away a Supreme backpack, Supreme pizza and some Taco Bell!!!  Next they started putting supreme in the bible and were quoting all these different bibles for every scripture it was insane! I thought I was in a motivational seminar in college at one point  so we just got up and left because of how crazy it was. So that was interesting but it was fun.

We did some work on a members car which was super fun even though my companion and I never new what we were doing but we took the tires of and were working on the stearing of the car so that was fun.  I also got Route 66 Pictures that my mom has been asking for.

This week was also General Conference which was awesome.  Saturday we watched conference at the church, and Sunday watched it with other Elders and Sisters at a members house. My favorite speaker was Oaks during Saturday evening session.  I’m also  excited for 2 hour church!!  I loved every second of general confrence it was awesome. Well thats about it for this week  love you and miss you guys

Week 5: Pictures

Exchange with Elder Fairey

Week 5: Exchanges, Football and Teaching!

Hello everybody,
My week was pretty sweet and my companion and I get along really well!  We get up at 5:30 and study until 6:30 then go to the gym till around 8:00 next we go home, shower, eat and get ready for the day! We have been teaching a ton we have a pool of 40 people that we are teaching and we have at least 3 baptisms this month.  We are also working  with 10 other people getting ready for baptism.  I’m feeling awesome and I'm having a really good time the gospel is great and I love sharing it with people! We are sooooo hyped for conference and we have got invited to 5 different houses to watch it.  Sounds like some huge changes are about to go down. My area is awesome but it's just super sketchy.   The people here are super religious but they are nice about it. Church was awesome and we had a meeting with our ward mission leader he is a surgeon and he has a huge house that looks like a castle on 74 acres of land.   He is super chill and he really likes working with us which is awesome.
Friday we had exchanges and I went with my friend From the MTC Elder Fairey. It was
interesting because we both have only been out for a few weeks. We got to go to a High
School Football game to teach a lesson to a guy who got shot 3 times in the head, and
thinks Jesus is a shapeshifter.  So that was fun then we went back to our apartment and our
Zone leader and Elder Fairey spent the night with us.  Well that’s about it for this week.
         Love and miss you guys,
