Week 4: Pictures

Zone conference

 Every day life

Week 4: Teaching, and working out!

Hello everybody,

This week has been busy because we have taught a lot of people this week. We also have 4 people on date to get baptized which is great!  And if we play our cards right we could possibly have 12 baptisms which would  be sweet.  The weather here has dropped like 20 degrees which is awesome.  It has been partly sunny and in the 70’s.

Me and my companion go workout everyday he's awesome.  We workout a place close by that is free for missionaries.  We love having the van and my companion lets me drive all the time.  People here suck at driving just like in Portland.   We have meet a ton of cool members here. Teaching can be interesting here.  All the people here smoke and love video games so we always have something to talk about.   Their are a lot of people that we’ve done service for already which has been awesome.      That's about it love and miss you guys

Week3: Missouri and new Trainer!

Hello everyone,

This week I got my first transfer to Missouri. I got to meet  my new trainer Elder Hartley and he is awesome. We have a car!!! Which is awesome because then we can get around a lot better and some people we visit live really far away. We have been teaching a couple families and we brought four people with us to church today!! We have 12 potential baptisms and we've been trying to get a inactive member to go back to church.   He has been stubborn so we had to make a deal with him if we picked up his kid from the Y he would go to church.   So were going with him and his family to church next week.

We also have been going to the Y for free because we are unpaid ministers so that's awesome.  My companion loves to workout which  is great and we have been going since I got here. Our apartment is pretty bad and we live in the ghetto.  We don't have a dish washer or laundry machine but we make it work. When I got there their was literally no food and they hadn't cleaned the apartment for three months.  Now their is food and we just finished cleaning the apartment last night ...it took us 4 hours to clean!

Missouri is really hot and humid but I'll get used to it. I've already had a lot of really cool spiritual experiences.  I've learned that you need to talk to as many people as you can and don't judge a book by its cover because everyone needs the gospel.
 Love  and miss you guys,

Week 2: Pictures

Week 2: Another week at the MTC, Hosting,Teaching, and eating chicken!

Hello everyone,

This week has been pretty fun my companions and I have alot of fun together, Elder Fairey is the funniest person I have ever talked to and he is awesome. This week we did alot of the same stuff,  we have three hour classes in the morning and then we go to lunch and eat more chicken. I still can’t  believe they can find more ways to say chicken but they did every day this whole week! Haha  Then we would have a little time to study with your companion or by yourself. After that we would have excersise time from 1:30 to 2:30 which is really fun. There are actually some good basketball players here and it gets pretty competative even though were not supposed to keep score. After the gym we would have study time till 5:30. We would study a little and talk.  I’ve got my companion to start doing an ab workout with me and were doing a hundred push ups a day. Then we go to dinner for about fourty five minutes and then we end our day with another three hour class.   We have done this every single day since we arrived but its still fun.

Our district got to host yesterday and that was awesome!  I hosted five missionaries all of them were super cool.  One of them played lacrosse and might play in college another one is a D1 track athlete.   They were super nice and I didn't have any of them cry which was a blessing. Another cool thing we do at the MTC is we get the opportunity to teach. So me and my companion have been teaching a non member named Daniel he's super cool, he's nineteen and goes to BYU studying  philosaphy. How it works is on Saturday they have you go outside and in a specific area there are people for you to go contact and teach. So when we contacted Daniel we talked for thirty minutes which is crazy we had so much in common because he's only a year older than us. After you contact someone then you set a time to meet with them on Monday from either nine thirty or ten. Then you are supposed to talk for twenty five minute but we sat down and talked to Daniel  for an hour he's super smart and he loves talking to us about pilosophy which is awesome.   We have been able to meet with him twice this week and yesterday he seemed really intrested in getting babtized. That  would be super cool if that happened.

Thank you for every one that sent me packages I still FELL LIKE THAT GUY love and miss you guys
